The module CBTMN40 is a multiprotocol module that supports Bluetooth 5.0 stack for BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy) and is designed for high data rate short-range wireless communication in the 2.4GHz ISM band. The module is based on Nordic Semiconductor chipset NRF52840 radio transceiver IC that has a 32bit ARM Cortex-M4F CPU running at 64MHz, 512Kb Flash memory, 64Kb RAM and analog and digital peripherals. It has protocol support for Bluetooth 5, Bluetooth mesh, Thread, Zigbee, 802.15.4, ANT and 2.4 GHz proprietary stacks. It has numerous digital peripherals and interfaces such as high speed SPI and QSPI for interfacing to external flash and displays, PDM and I2S for digital microphones and audio, and a full speed USB device for data transfer and power supply for battery recharging.
A 54 PIN module that is designed with rich customisation capabilities. Ultra small foot print of 25.4×20.07mm with internal PCB antenna. The module hosts 48 General Purpose I/O pins and can be powered with a 1.7-5.5VDC source. The module supports SPI, UART with bauds from 1200 to 115200, I2C, ADC and LPCOMP interfaces.
CBTMN40 module supports rich software APIs that can be used to develop end customer applications. Supporting both Android and iPhone, the SDK provides capabilities such as scanning for beacons (iBeacons, Eddystone URL/UID, Eddystone TLM), encoded BLE communication, BLE 5.0 MESH and BLE5.0 Long Range Communications.
